I haven't posted for a while, because there's not a lot happening. We did meet with the young man and his wife, in new Castle, IN. They are a super young couple. He got "sick" in the middle of the week, in Haiti. If you've ever been there...you know what I mean. With the church camp going on and him being sick, he never had the time or energy to go looking for Sonel. We're just trusting God that in His time, everything will work out. It's hard to be patient. But with homeschooling Hope and everyday life, we're praying and waiting. I just want Sonel to have a full belly everyday and we want to help financially so that it can happen. In His time. I'll be sure to post the minute I know anything. Please pray for Sonel and his family.

SONEL'S JOURNEY
Sonel is in the US to have surgery on his 2 club feet. This blog is to record his journey to walking "normally". He walks, runs, and even dances on his club feet, but children with handicaps are not allowed to go to school in Haiti. I can't wait to see him wearing shoes for the first time!

- A group from our church went to Haiti in June of 2006. My heart would never be the same. I can't wait to go back, but for now, I have a little bit of Haiti with me. My family and I are hosting a little boy with 2 club feet, that will be corrected by castings and surgery, over the next few months. We have a grand daughter, Hope, age 9, that lives with us and is a great help and playmate for Sonel. We are taking one day at a time and letting God lead us in our journey of watching this little boy be changed forever.

Have you heard how Sonel's family is doing after the earth quake?
I should post something. NO, we haven't heard anything about Sonel. I know they live in Saut D Eau, which is about 40 miles from PAP. There was some damage to homes there, but nothing like PAP. I will post something after one more email to the mission in Saut D Eau.
