Today was fantastic. Sonel was in such a good mood...all day...with NO morphine. He and Hope squirted each other most of the day with squirt guns. We even put garbage bags on his legs to keep them dry. We went to church this morning. He loves when I ask him if he wants to go to "legliz"(church), I always get a big "WI" ("yes"). I know he has a lot of memories of singing songs to Jesus from the Rescue Center. He has sang songs ever since he's gotten here. (Licia and Lori...he'll sing about going outside, it's so cute, he always adds a lot of "yo,yo, yo's" to the end. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.) He also laughed so much today. It was good to hear that again.

I'd love to hear his songs ... maybe that will be the next video on the blog?? (:
I love reading your blog and I'm so glad to see that Sonel is feeling better! I will keep you both in my prayers as you continue this journey. God bless you!
We are friends of Justin and Jenelle McKee from church at Crossroads. Justin's mom shared what you are doing for Sonel. We have two children we have adopted from Guatemala. Our youngest came home about 8 weeks ago. We share a passion for children in 3rd world countries who are waiting to be adopted. We are also actively involved with a ministry in Guatemala that helps children with cleft palates receive surgery. So what you are doing is very near and dear to our hearts. We will pray for Sonel's healing and for God to take the pain away. We will also pray for you as you take care of him and love him through this journey. May God bless all involved as well as those that will play an important role in Sonel's future.
So glad to know things are getting better for your both!
